Seeberg Castle
The Seeberg Castle in the village of Ostroh is located a few kilometres west of Františkovy Lázně. You can easily set out for a bike trip there, either alone or with a guide.
The originally Romanesque castle has been build around the end of the 12th century. Later it was remodelled in the Gothic and Renaissance style. Today it comprises of a Romanesque and Gothic Palace supplemented by a Renaissance wing with a beautiful arcade corridor.
What can you see at Seeberg:
- Exhibition of the interior design development and furniture from the 19th century
- Ethnographic exhibition of the folk art from the Eger region
- Timbered tower granary from 1717
- Timbered shed from 1809
- A large collection of historical farming and homestead tools and equipment
- The Gothic Church of St. Wolfgang
- Education path “The Seeberg Castle vicinity”
